Eastern States Working Dog Association
Formed in 1996 by a group of Law Enforcement Officers in Burlington County New Jersey
The ESWDA Mission
Since its founding in 1996, the Eastern States Working Dog Association (ESWDA) has professionally served the working dog community for over 20 years. In addition to working with K-9 law enforcement officers, the ESWDA works with civilian dog owners of all kinds and will continue its long-standing cooperation and collaboration with working dog organizations across the nation.
ESWDA Administration and Training Team
The Eastern States Working Dog Association (ESWDA) offers the opportunity for civilian handlers and their dogs to earn titles from a recognized K-9 association. The Utility Protection Dog (UPD) program is designed to test a dog’s obedience, protection capability and hunt/search drive skills in realistic, practical based situations.
In addition to offering a program for civilian dogs owners and their dogs, the ESWDA also offers certification for law enforcement K-9 and search and rescue K-9 teams.
